Three stories follow one another, each involving people and their dogs; three cruel stories woven together to make one great contemporary story. The dogs are the unwitting protagonists of this human comedy, because it's on men and women that the filmmaker focuses his lens, scrutinizing their interactions, their frustrations, their impulses and their loneliness. After JE ME TUE À LE DIRE, Belgian filmmaker Xavier Seron is back with a new existential tragi-comedy. Like his richly contrasted black-and-white photography, he juggles absurdity and gravity, dark humor and humanism, taking us from laughter to tears. (FNC)
