A requiem for long-forgotten futures, Theo Montoya's heartbreaking film is a portrait of the homosexual community in Medellin, Colombia. A ghost story in more ways than one, the filmmaker returns to the making of his first feature film. The title - which evokes the grace of angels, mingled with the torment of perdition - comes from the Instagram account of one of the young men Montoya meets at casting sessions, Camilo Najar, whose touching mix of joy and nihilism sums up the impulses of this generation of street kids, torn between hedonism, hope and the spectres of paramilitary repression, endless narco wars and violent homophobia.
