One day, from one sleep to the next, three women and three men from Africa find their place in Rome; Patience and Joan in squats, Destiny, Steve, and Souleymane in apartments, Mamadou in a park.
Dance teacher, hairdresser, pizza delivery, occasional prostitution, African clothing store, family photography, music, philosophy, aspirations, and the obligations of survival intertwine. The joys of living in a world that is in some ways easier than the one they left behind, the desire to reach a country even easier than Italy, the sadness of being far from their parents, their moods mirror those of post-war Romans as depicted by the neorealist movement. But beyond the times, the will to live, and, what's more, in the so-called eternal city, gives them an eternal right.
