Looking at the role of the opposition in Quebec society, Les Chialeux documents the daily lives of female MNAs at the heart of the action at the National Assembly. Drawing on the testimony of numerous experts and specialists, the film deconstructs the idea that the role of the opposition parties can be summed up as nothing more than whining. Instead, using archive footage and an aesthetic inspired by retro video games, the film exposes the importance of this crucial position in our democracy through a playful and original framework.
