In space, no one can hear you scream...

In the distant future, the crew of a commercial spaceship is on its way home when it picks up a distress call from a distant moon. They must investigate. After a difficult landing, three crew members leave the ship to explore the planetoid area. Just as the crew discovers a hive colony of an unknown creature, the ship's computer deciphers the message as a warning, not a distress call. When one of the eggs is disturbed, the crew realizes that they are no longer alone aboard the ship.
